Backpack & School Supplies Program for Military Families

There is nothing more exciting than watching a child flourish in pursuit of an education. But many families lack the financial means to purchase some of the necessities to start the school year. That’s why VFSAC proudly supports the “Back-to-School Brigade,” an Operation Homefront initiative that provides children from military families, a backpack equipped with basic school supplies.  In recent years, the cost of school supplies has grown faster that the rate of inflation in many markets and the burden on a family can be extensive.

According to the Huntington Bank Backpack Index, parents of elementary school student can expect to pay $195 for school supplies while middle school students require as much as $327 in basic supplies. This is your chance to help these military children get the supplies they need to succeed in school. For as little as $10, you can make all of the difference for a child whose parent or parents so proudly served our nation.
